The combination of materials with different shrinkage ratios results in simple trousers with a unique expressive texture. At Maku the textile takes the front seat, so that garments are exclusively designed from the fiber to the rack using only hand spun and hand woven textile (handloom). The dominance of indigo is historic and deliberate. Maku uses Its status symbol and its negative history in Bengal, the brand’s home state, to create one of a kind garments that explore the dye’s richness and versatility.
